Believe it or not, cosmetic surgery has come to become a part of our life. Be it breast reduction, breast augmentation, liposuction, abdominoplasty, eyelid surgery, or something else, more and more people are seeking to perfect their bodies to look more fit and beautiful. In 2010 alone, there were 13.1 million cosmetic procedures performed, which was an increase of 5% from 2009. Here is an infographic depicting some interesting stats about this ever increasing trend.

Did it live up to the hype? Yes. A great establishment tucked out on Dundas West, that makes charcuterie accessible and cool, tasty and attractive (not to say that I had any issues with it as it was), in an environment that’s perfect for friendly gatherings (albeit the space is too narrow for parties more than 5-6). Service is attentive, friendly and smart. Food arrives hot (or cold), fresh and simply displayed. Despite the fact that the bill adds up by the end of the evening, we left happy, filled both in the tummy and with a good impression of the spot.
Next visit I must try that duck confit sandwich (that had me captivated by it’s aroma), the octopus, pork belly and of course, the tongue. ;P
Of course that will have to be after Sept 10 (as the restaurant is on holidays starting tomorrow until then).
