I had a tummy tuck about 6 years ago....best thing I have ever done for myself! My recovery was great. As long as you follow all the directions, you will be fine. SOme of the directions seem useless, but they are not, follow them to get the best results. You should not go back to work for at least 2 weeks. A tummy tuck is way different than a c-section. A tummy tuck procedure also addresses the muscles inside your abdomen, not just the skin like in a c-section. As far as scarring...YES! Depending on the severity of your tummy tuck. whether it be 1/2, full, or extended, your scar will look accordingly. I had the full tummy tuck and my friend had the extended. The scar does look much better as time goes on, with proper care of course. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
